Why choose EV tires?
Electric cars are heavier and deliver instant torque, which wears tires faster. EV tires have reinforced construction, a compound optimised for low rolling resistance (more range per charge) and noise-reducing technology, because without engine noise the tire noise is more noticeable.
You can use regular tires on an EV as long as the size, load index and speed rating match – but EV tires usually give longer range and quieter rides.
